Bosal's R&D facilities ensure full support for whole vehicle programs, from advanced concept to the final development of the complete exhaust system in all its aspects. Our facilities are backed up by resident engineers at customer level and a production infrastructure on a global basis with SILS facilities where needed.

Manifolds 

Bosal's R&D centre develops innovative concepts for exhaust manifolds such as our multi-layer insulation technologies, and integrated catalytic converter concepts.

Radial Flow concept

Bosal is now mass-producing and marketing the proven concept of the metal substrate technology for catalytic converters It offers great flexibility in catalytic converter packaging and significant savings in catalytic converter volume, weight, precious metal loading and back pressure, while assuring equal or better emission performance than conventional designs. 

From a logistic point of view, the concept is ideal for manufacturing under one roof giving cost optimization in the supply chain. In service, the Radial Flow catalysts are achieving excellent durability. The concept has considerable development potential and will be a major element of our commitment to ongoing research and development.

Lightweight exhaust system

With the development of a unique method for attaching the entire exhaust system to the floor pan, a very significant weight saving can be achieved, in some cases 40 to 50% compared to a conventional system. The durability of the system has proven to be equal to or even better than conventional systems.
