An MOT test is an annual safety inspection which ensures that your vehicle meets road safety, environmental and legal standards. Once three years old, your vehicle must be MOT tested every year.

We can usually offer an MOT test and complete any necessary repairs that are required to pass the MOT on the same day, to save you time and hassle.

At Dexel Tyre and Auto Centre we have seven DVSA approved MOT testing centres:

Lincoln (City Centre) Lincoln (Tritton Rd) Gainsborough
Market Rasen Worksop Attercliffe (Sheffield)
Mr Exhaust & Tyres (Sheffield) One Stop Motorist Centre (Sheffield)

It is important to bear in mind that an MOT test is not the same as a vehicle service, which checks the mechanical condition and general health of the vehicle. Find out more about the difference between the MOT test and a service here.

Dexel Tyre & Auto Centre also offers Class 5 and 7 MOT Testing.

MOT Test covering:

Body, vehicle structure & general items Tyres and wheels
Towbars Registration plates
Fuel system Lights
Exhaust emissions Bonnet
Exhaust system Wipers and washers
Seats Windscreen
Mirrors Horn
Brakes Steering and suspension
Electrical Vehicle identification number (VIN)

An MOT test is not the same as having your vehicle serviced. It does not check the vehicles general health and only checks very specific aspects of the list above, as set out by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
